Sales & Marketing Coordinator

This would be a perfect opportunity for a college aged individual that is enthusiastic about social media & marketing. Ideal for a person entering the workforce and seeking to expand their work portfolio.

Job Type: 20-30 hours a week, flexible, weekends when events are hosted

Reports To: Owners

Duties:

  • Post food and market specials from the store. Create engaging farm posts that will help to grow our audience.
  • Reply to event inquiries from clients to successfully book on farm events.
  • Help to oversee the day of execution of events.
  • Assist in communicating with vendors & makers.
  • Work with farm team members to help plan & run farm hosted special events
  • Fine tune existing marketing materials for increased visibility
  • Reach out to various vendors to book fun & engaging community events targeted at diverse audiences

Requirements:

Familiar with Instagram, Facebook, Canva, email marketing campaigns

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Sales Coordinator to join our team at Orchard Ridge Farm. As a Sales Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing inquiries, coordinating bookings, and ensuring the seamless execution of events held at our farm. You will work closely with potential clients to understand their needs, assist in planning, and support the sales team in meeting event goals. Working weekends when events are booked is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Communication: Serve as the first point of contact for clients interested in hosting events at the farm, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and private parties. Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.

Event Coordination:

Assist clients with booking event spaces, understanding their needs, and guiding them through available options. Ensure all details are captured accurately to deliver an exceptional experience.

Sales Support:

Help the sales team achieve revenue goals by providing support in lead generation, follow-ups, and managing the sales pipeline. Maintain an organized record of leads, opportunities, and bookings.

Contract Management:

Prepare and manage contracts for event bookings, ensuring accuracy in terms, pricing, and expectations. Ensure all legal documents are signed and completed in a timely manner.

Scheduling & Logistics:

Coordinate event dates, booking confirmations, and logistics with clients. Work with farm staff to ensure the availability of spaces, equipment, and resources for each event.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other departments, such as catering, maintenance, and event services, to ensure all aspects of the event are planned and executed according to client specifications.

Event Support:

On the day of events, assist with final checks and ensure the venue is prepared for client arrival. Provide administrative support during the event as needed.

Marketing & Promotion:

Assist in the development of promotional materials, newsletters, and advertisements to attract new clients. Help implement marketing campaigns to boost sales and awareness of the farm’s event services.

Client Satisfaction:

Ensure high levels of client satisfaction throughout the event planning process, responding to any questions or concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in sales, event coordination, or customer service is highly preferred.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software (experience with event management platforms is a plus).

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well with diverse teams.

Flexibility to work weekends or evenings, as required by event schedules.

A passion for hospitality, agriculture, or event management is a bonus.

Farm Market Associate

This is a dynamic position that requires some cooking and some cashiering. All farm market associates must have the ability to multi task, be self motivated, work well with others. Duties include, but are not limited to: converse with guests, use a POS, answer the phone, run food, cooking, prep, store stocking, & much more. Store associates must be able to work independently. 18+ preferred due to alcohol sales. Part time, full time, & seasonal available. Pay dependent on experience, but ranges $15-20/hr plus tips. Experienced Orchardist

(Apple, Blueberry, and Pear Orchards)

We are seeking to hire an individual charged with overseeing the majority of orchard operations, We grow apple, blueberry, and pear. This role involves managing the care and cultivation of the orchard crops, ensuring the production of high-quality fruit, and optimizing orchard efficiency. The Orchard Manager will be responsible for overseeing planting, irrigation, pest control, harvesting, and overall orchard maintenance, while also supervising orchard staff and collaborating with other agricultural professionals. This position can be flexible based on suitable individuals.

Pay is dependent on experience, but starts at $20/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchard Management: Oversee the growth, health, and productivity of the apple, blueberry, and pear orchards. Ensure that all crops are cultivated and maintained according to best agricultural practices.
  • Planting & Irrigation: Plan and execute the planting of new trees and bushes, ensuring proper spacing and soil conditions. Manage irrigation systems to ensure consistent water supply.
  • Pest and Disease Control: Monitor the orchard for pests and diseases, implementing environmentally responsible pest management strategies, including the use of organic or chemical treatments as needed.
  • Harvesting: Coordinate the timely harvesting of apples, blueberries, and pears, ensuring proper handling and storage to maintain fruit quality.
  • Crop Rotation and Soil Health: Implement sustainable farming practices, including crop rotation and soil health management, to enhance orchard productivity over the long term.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and manage orchard workers, providing training, setting work schedules, and ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and operation of orchard equipment (e.g., tractors, harvesters, sprayers) and ensure that machinery is in good working condition.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that harvested fruit meets the company’s quality standards and prepare fruit for packing and distribution.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of orchard operations, including planting schedules, pesticide applications, harvest yields, and labor hours. Monitor and report on orchard performance metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand market demand and adapt orchard production strategies accordingly.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in orchard management, with a strong background in fruit cultivation, specifically apples, blueberries, and pears.
  • Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and crop protection methods.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team of farm workers.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate and maintain orchard equipment.
  • Good communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate farm vehicles.
